On 30th January the Most Worshipful Bro Christine Chapman was Enthroned as Grand Master in an impressive and moving ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Swiss Cottage.

The Board of General Purposes has agreed to consecrate a new Lodge to be connected to Brunel University.

The Grand Master's annual visit to the Provincial Lodges in Blackpool and Morecambe was greatly enjoyed by all who accompanied the Grand Master on her travels; it being another opportunity to make new friendships and renew old ones.

July and August

The annual Summer Lodges of Instruction at HQ were held throughout this period culminating in the Preceptors' Dinner on the last day.

The HFAF were present at the Province of Middlessex's Annual Summer Fete at the Royal Masonic Girls School at Rickmansworth and received a very warm welcome from the Pro Provincial Grand Master, Roger Croome.

Unfortunately the HFAF weren't able to be present at the RMBI Fete at Stisted Court, Braintree on the same day, as our invitation was withdrawn.

The Centenary celebrations to mark 100 years of the HFAF took place at the Grand Temple, Freemasons' Hall, Gt. Queen Street, London on Sunday 30th June.

Women in Blue, the history of the HFAF, written by Christine Chapman, Assistant Grand Master was published.

Regency/Fidelity Lodge attended a Fete at Warlingham, Surrey to promote Women's Freemasonry.

The candidates for election to Grand Master were announced:

Rt. Wor. Bro. Christine Chapman - Assistant Grand Master

Rt. Wor. Bro. Hedy Babani - Junior Grand Warden

The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Bernice Abram accompanied by the Deputy and Assistant Grand Master visited the Isle of Man for their annual Spring Festival.

The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Bernice Abram visited the Provincial Brethren in the North. During the trip we visited a Craft Lodge, a Royal Arch Chapter and a Royal Ark Mariners Lodge.

July and August

The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Bernice Abram made her annual visit to the Isle of Man brethren, for their Spring Festival.

The Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, Margaret Clarke set up a panel of speakers to talk to Women's Groups and other interested organisations about Women's Freemasonry and the HFAF. Anyone requiring a speaker should contact her via the Grand Secretary's office.

A Mentoring Scheme was introduced under the superintendence of the Right Worshipful Assistant Grand Master, Christine Chapman.

Following the successful launch of a Lodge in Romania, we are now setting our sights further afield to India, where there is much interest. One candidate has already joined one of our Lodges and from that small step we hope to establish a Lodge in Delhi.

Plans continue to be made for our Centenary celebrations in June 2013.

Alpha Lodge No. 54 was consecrated by the Most Worshipful Grand Master Bernice Abram on Thursday 1st September in a beautiful and impressive ceremony. Right Worshipful Bro. Christine Chapman was Installed as the first Worshipful Master.

This new lodge will meet in Bucharest, Romania and in London at our HQ. Our Romanian brethren are eagerly awaiting their first meeting in December, which will be in Bucharest.

Bond of Friendship Lodge No. 48 relocated from England to Scotland by moving from Carlisle to Gretna.

Doric Lodge No. 11 celebrated it's 75th birthday with a special meeting. A new Master's collar was commissioned to bear the names of all the Past Masters.
