The New Blue Association
This is the fund-raising arm of our fraternity and it is ably chaired by Bro Hedy Babani and her enthusiastic team of helpers.
In the past they have successfully raised many thousands of pounds towards
the purchase of our new HQ and also made substantial donations to our HFAF
Charity, our Building Fund, our Benevolent Fund and Past Grand Lodge Officers
Association.
Their fund-raising work continues without cease.
2012
A continuing feature of the fund-raising has been the
trips to the National Theatre, many popular TV shows and other musical events.
Little and often has been the by-word here. The sheer variety of these events
has been amazing, we have even had an opera written by one of our new members
and a very popular Singalonga show in the West End.
A 4 day Spa Weekend at Champneys in May again proved
very popular and raised £1900. This has already been arranged for 2013 in
March.
The National Draw (raffle) raised nearly £1900 and next
year the NBA are running their popular 500 Club with 12 monthly draws for cash
prizes.
The Annual Bazaar will be on 25th November and in
December a chance to see the Valentino Master of Couture Exhibition at Somerset
House.
2011
A very successful weekend away was organised at Champneys and those who
went enjoyed it so much that it is being repeated next year.
A Winter Fayre was held on 20th November at our HQ at 402 Finchley
Road, London NW2 2HR, raising nearly £2000.
2010
13TH JUNE
The National Raffle was drawn by our Grand Master, Bro Bernice Abram at a special lunch at our HQ.
As part of the day's events we also had a demonstration of Indian cookery by Bro
Jyoti Patel and everyone enjoyed a tasty lunch of Indian dishes. This was
followed by a sari show. Bro Bharti Patel demonstrated how to wear a sari and
also explained about the different types of saris which can be worn. Our thanks
to our Indian brethren for organising this special day.
The raffle raised in excess of £3000 and the lunch £1400 for our HFAF
Charity and our Building Fund for the continuance of our Fraternity.
28TH NOVEMBER
Open Day and Xmas Bazaar - Once again the doors to our Headquarters will
be opened to all visitors interested in learning more about Women's Freemasonry
and the HFAF.
