Women and Freemasonry - The Centenary
This exhibition at the Library and Museum at Great Queen
Street, ran from 4th June to 19th December 2008 and was considered to be a
great success.
The image used to promote this exhibition is of Wor Bro
Phyllis Sutton Vane, who was Grand Sword Bearer in the 1930's. When I came
across the photo of Phyllis, looking so stern and yet so glamorous I knew that
she would make excellent PR material and luckily the Curator of the Museum,
Diane Clements, agreed with me.

Members of HFAF were invited to a preview of the Exhibition as were members
of OWF and Co-Masonry and the Grand Lodge of Freemasonry for Men and
Women.

OWF and the Manager of the Embroidery Dept at GQS.
An introduction to the Exhibition was given by Peter Lowndes, Deputy Grand
Master, pictured with John Hamill, Director of Communications, of UGLE.
