The HFAF Charity

(Registered Charity No: 1007693)

In common with our fellow Masons in the United Grand Lodge of England, it is part of our core beliefs that we give to charity.  We ask our members for recommendations of good causes. Many are prompted by personal experience for either themselves, their families or their friends.

It is a specific requirement of our charity that 100% of any donation should be used for the purpose specified.

Many of our Lodges hold socials aimed at raising funds for a specific charity and in that instance the HFAF charity will also add to those funds.

One of our main beneficiaries is the Teenage Cancer Trust and this has been chosen by the Most Worshipful the Grand Master, Bernice Abram to be our special Centenary charity and we are devoting the major part of our efforts to this cause. We are raising funds to equip a room for a teenage cancer patient.

We are very grateful to all our Lodges for their sterling efforts to raise funds for our Centenary project.

When we visited Bond of  Friendship Lodge No. 49 in September  2011 the  Most Worshipful Grand Master, Bernice Abram was delighted to receive a cheque for £2000 on behalf of all the Provincial Lodges, represented by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Pat Rothwell.
